Joe Cultrera
(Writer, Director Editor, Producer)

HAND OF GOD is Joe Cultrera's first feature length documentary. He has over 25 years experience as a director and editor. Cultrera's WITCH CITY (1996) is the darkly humorous tale of Salem, Massachusetts – past and present. It takes a critical look at that city's commercialization of its history. The film premiered on WGBH in Boston and was subsequently aired on many other PBS outlets.

LEATHER SOUL (1993) is a portrayal of the leather tanning industry in Peabody, Massachusetts. The documentary was called "a sterling example of rescuing working people's history."  It aired nationally on PBS and was picked to be part of the National Gallery of Art's series on the American Documentary.

UNFINISHED DREAMS (1995) and MEMORIES OF THE AUD (1997) were director/editor efforts that linked local sports teams to the heart of two blue-collar American cities - Olean and Buffalo, New York. The films were commissioned and aired on The Empire Sports Network.

Some of Cultrera's recent work was as co-editor of the Rolling Stones' documentary TIP OF THE TONGUE; segment editor on Michael Apted's MARRIED IN AMERICA; and co-editor of the Jagged Films/ABC Production of BEING MICK. Over the years Joe has edited hundreds of projects for broadcast, cable, non-profit and corporate clients such as PBS, A&E, Discovery, Court-TV, Food Network and TV-One.
